Very has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by Fatherly and Scary Mommy, two of the most popular digital media brands for today’s parents. This is the 2nd time Very has been named among the Best Places to Work for Dads by Fatherly.
I love the flexibility that remote work brings. Many people in the company live in the Eastern time zone, and even though I live on the West Coast, I choose to keep Eastern Time hours. This lets me finish work mid-afternoon, and have a lot more time with my kids before dinner.”

Through their Parents@Work initiative, Fatherly & Scary Mommy are spotlighting employers who set the standard for how parents should be treated across organizations and industries. The evaluation process included a rigorous examination of our benefits, policies, and corporate culture.
In the evaluation, Very scored high marks in multiple areas including:
- Percentage of fathers and mothers who take advantage of parental leave and other benefits
- Transitional time for parents returning from leave
- The option to use flex time and/or telecommute
