Very is excited to announce that we were honored by the Business Culture Awards as a Highly Commended organization in the “Best Business Culture Transformation Initiative” category for 2020/2021.

The awards this year were highly competitive, with many companies across industries competing for recognition. Very was named a Highly Commended organization for how we transitioned our entire company to a fully remote team, pre-pandemic, and the unique approaches we’ve taken to keep employees engaged, including:

  • Providing all employees with a home office stipend and gamifying the process of decking out their personal work stations with supportive tools
  • Maximizing the potential of Slack as an all-in-one internal communication tool
  • Encouraging openness and accountability throughout the organization

Comments from judges who reviewed Very’s application noted:

“Adding an element of competition, not to mention the home office stipend, is an act of genius to help people ease into remote working. The added benefits of the Slack communications tool seem to have really helped with engagement and culture, and I think together this is a really innovative approach to making their employees feel part of the team.”
