Design Practice Lead
As a Design Practice Lead at Very, Stacey develops and matures our design practice to leverage data, sensors, hardware, and software capabilities in clever ways in our products.
Stacey gets excited to work at the cutting edge of design. She is infinitely curious and loves understanding why people succeed or fail, or why ecosystems rise and fall. She believes that when we build products, we're designing a product that will live inside the living breathing ecosystem of our world. Consequently, we're responsible for putting out good products into the world that augment our daily experience, rather than entrap, distract or frustrate. As a designer, Stacey understands that she has an immense power to affect people's experiences in life, and she's inspired to hold that standard high.
Prior to joining Very, Stacey has spent the last 5 years as a Product Manager and UX Designer at Apple. She has strived to bring innovative design thinking and motivational strategy to multi-national teams in order to drive effective product development. She has specialized in cross-cultural User Research and Usability testing and has leveraged her background in Psychology to genuinely understand the user and generate insights.
Stacey holds a BA in Psychology & Chinese from Williams College, as well as a Masters of Information Management and Systems from UC Berkeley.
In Stacey's free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, and learning new languages.
