As an Embedded/Electrical Engineer at Very, Adam Drewery works with clients to build hardware-powered solutions. Adam is motivated by the feeling of accomplishment when he gets something working correctly for the first time — even if it's something as simple as getting an LED light to blink on a new set of hardware.
Adam graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering in 2010 and a Masters in Electrical Engineering in 2012.
He started his career at IntelliFarms, where he coordinated hardware and firmware design for embedded systems. His responsibilities included research and development, selection of system components, design and layout of PCBs, system prototyping, troubleshooting, and embedded C firmware development.
Next, Adam worked at Spear Power Systems as a Senior Electrical Engineer. His primary job responsibilities included the development of electronics and firmware for high-power rechargeable battery systems. His job included the design and debugging of mixed-signal circuit board assemblies, firmware, wiring harnesses, and other electronic components. Other responsibilities included system-level debug utilizing a J1939 based CAN network, performing field and remote support to customers, resolving production issues, and providing engineering support to production.
